Why Massage is More than a Luxury
According to a study at Harvard Medical School, massage is well on its way to becoming a part of medical strategy. Normally, people consider a massage as
a non-necessity but nice if you want to be pampered. However, numerous studies have shown that it decreases inflammation (and the resulting pain), boosts immune function in women with breast cancer, relieves allergies, helps premature babies thrive, and athletes to quickly increase muscle.
The study included surveying hospitals and clinics, including Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, stating they’ve had especially good results when massage and other alternative strategies are implemented.
